Betsy Holland is committed to working with the Atlanta Public Schools to provide the best possible education for our children while also committing to a tax payers’ bill of rights to protect homeowners from unfair property tax surges. She will preserve the integrity of the city’s boundaries and will represent the interests of all Atlantans once elected. A lifelong supporter of the arts, Betsy knows that vibrant creative communities strengthen the economy as they attract new businesses to the state.

Mary Margaret Oliver – Georgia State House Representative, District 82
As a business woman and a mom, Betsy Holland understands the challenges of working families and will fight to ensure access to well-paying jobs, quality education, and safe communities. An advocate for women, Betsy will support measures to guarantee access to safe, quality healthcare and to reduce Georgia’s maternal mortality rate; fair treatment in the workplace; and protection from domestic violence. She will fight to keep our children safe by supporting common sense gun regulations that keep firearms out of the hands of dangerous individuals.

From Betsy:

I’m a graduate of Georgia’s fine public schools. I’m the proud parent of an Atlanta Public Schools student. I’m the daughter of an educator. I support fully funding and supporting public schools, and you cannot support public education without also supporting teachers. That’s why I couldn’t be prouder to receive the endorsement of the Georgia Association of Educators today.”

EMILY’s List Announces First Round of State Office Endorsements in Georgia Ahead of May Primary
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, made its first round of Georgia state office endorsements ahead of the May 22nd primary, endorsing five women leaders for statewide and legislative seats. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILY’s List, released the following statement:
“Voters in Georgia have the opportunity to make history this year. Not only can they elect the first African American woman governor in the country, but they can also elect a record number of women to the state legislature. Four of these women are first-time candidates whom EMILY’s List is proud to endorse ahead of their primaries because we know they have what it takes to flip the districts and statewide office that they’re running for. The fifth, incumbent Park Cannon, is a millennial who carried on her predecessor’s groundbreaking legacy as an LGBTQ woman of color serving in the state legislature. EMILY’s List is excited to stand with all five of these women leaders and show them the full support of our community.”
EMILY’s List endorsed the following slate of candidates:
Lindy Miller (Public Service Commissioner)
Park Cannon (HD-58)
Betsy Holland (HD-54)
Angelika Kausche (HD-50)
Aisha Yaqoob (HD-97)
