The Holland Report - 2026, Week 3

While the Georgia General Assembly is getting off to a slow start, many of us are closely following national developments with direct implications for our state. In particular, the increasing presence of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Georgia and the recent FBI raid on the Fulton County Elections Hub—resulting in the seizure of the county’s 2020 election ballots—have drawn widespread attention and concern. Information on both issues continues to evolve, and we’ll do our best to keep you informed as more details emerge. In the meantime, if you’re interested in getting engaged or making your voice heard, we’ve included resources and ideas below.

At the Capitol, the Georgia House voted on just one measure this week—HR 1008, which ratifies an amendment to the statewide water management plan. The resolution passed unanimously. Committee meetings are now underway, and the Rules Committee is scheduled to convene again Monday morning, signaling increased legislative activity in the days ahead.
