As the weather starts to turn a little cooler, my mind is turning to two big political events on the horizon – the Atlanta municipal elections and the upcoming special legislative session to redraw Georgia’s districts. I’m looking forward to chatting about these and other community issues at my listening session this Sunday. I hope you’ll consider joining us.

Meanwhile, like many of you, my heart sinks as we watch the number of COVID-19 cases in Georgia climb. ICU beds are becoming scarce in our state, and the number of young children impacted is growing as well.  Data shows that getting a COVID vaccination is the best way to keep yourself out of a hospital bed if you contract the virus. Please consider getting your vaccine if you haven’t already, and please continue to practice safety measures like washing your hands and wearing a mask to protect the vulnerable members of our community who cannot get vaccinated – including our kids!

Join me this Sunday, September 12th, at 4 pm, for another Listening Session! You can pre-register for the Zoom link here:

And stay tuned for a  North Atlanta Redistricting Town Hall with my fellow elected representatives, tentatively scheduled for the end of September. I’ll let you know the details closer to the date.
