If you’ve watched any Marvel movie or popular TV show like the Walking Dead, you’ve undoubtedly recognized the setting. Did you know that more blockbuster films are now produced in Georgia than any other state? Today I wanted to share with you my long-time commitment to responsible, innovative economic stimulus as an advocate for the tax credit that led to this industry boom.

Now ten years since its inception, the Georgia film tax initiative continues to deliver billions of dollars, thousands of jobs, and major infrastructure investment to our state. As a Turner employee, I was engaged in this effort from the start, and more recently was part of the movement to expand the tax credit to include post-production work. I also chaired the Georgia Chamber’s Creative Economy Committee to advance policies that welcome and support the multi-billion-dollar TV and film industries in our region.

The success of the film tax credit has had a ripple effect that impacts every Georgian. I am proud to be an active part of this success story. If elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, I pledge to serve as a vocal proponent of these interests which benefit local businesses, create jobs and promote economic growth in our state.
